RAWALPINDI – Five people, including police personnel, were injured after a vehicle of convoy of Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi met an accident near Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi, according to reports. The injured were shifted to a private hospital for medical treatment. The accident involved vehicles from the police escort squad as well as private vehicles. Following the incident, IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi directed that the medical expenses of all injured individuals, including both police officials and private citizens, be covered. He also ordered that repair costs for the affected private vehicles be borne by Islamabad Police. On the instructions of the IG, SP Khalid Awan and other senior police officers visited the hospital to monitor the treatment of the injured and provide necessary assistance.
