More rain and gusty winds with isolated hailstorms are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Thursday night and Friday, with occasional breaks. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak moist currents from the Arabian Sea are approaching the southern parts of the country. A westerly wave is also present over the upper parts of the country and is likely to persist till June 5. Under its influence, partly cloudy weather accompanied with more rain-windstorm/thunderstorm is expected is expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Gayat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, and Dera Ghazi Khan. The maximum temperature in Lahore is expected to remain between 39°C and 41°C on Friday, while temperatures may rise to 40°C to 42°C on Saturday. Meanwhile, rain, wind, and thunderstorms occurred in Lahore and parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Rains and high-velocity winds provided much-needed respite to the citizens from the prevailing harsh weather conditions. The relief, however, was short-lived as high humidity made the weather muggy after the rain.
