Synoptic Situation According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly weather system is affecting the upper and central parts of Pakistan, while moisture from the Arabian Sea is moving into central and southern regions. A seasonal low-pressure area remains active over western Balochistan and nearby areas. PMD Forecast Under these conditions, scattered rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Kasur, Sargodha, Noorpurthal, Bhakkar, Layyah, Mianwali, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan and Kot Addu on Wednesday night. On Thursday, more scattered rains and gusty winds with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are likely in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Pakpattan, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Okara, Kasur, Khushab, Sargodha, Noorputhal, Bhakkar, Layyah Mianwali, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahimyar Khan and Kot Addu. Impacts The PMD cautioned that strong winds, hail and lightning could damage vulnerable infrastructure, including solar panels, electricity poles and billboards. Expected Temperatures Maximum temperatures in Lahore are forecast to range between 36°C and 38°C on Thursday and Friday.
