That is the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Even when they lose (as they did in 2020), they claim they won. They drape red, white and blue bunting around everything they do; we show up with black funeral crepe.

Instead of inspiring swing voters with a real plan to help people who are choosing between filling their tanks with gas and buying price-gouged groceries, we bombard reporters inboxes with an inside-the-Beltway process argument about the last election. So much for President Bill Clinton s instruction that elections are always about the future.
