This marks a shift from its current role as a supplier of self-driving technology to automakers and mobility companies.
Plans call for an initial deployment of around 100 vehicles into a large U.S. city, with rollout continuing in stages across 2027 under fully driverless conditions. Over the five years after that initial launch period, the company aims to grow the fleet to around 17,000 vehicles.
The new business will combine Mobileye s self-driving system, known as Mobileye Drive, with the mobility platform of its Moovit subsidiary, which serves more than 1.7 billion users across more than 3,500 cities in 112 countries. The integrated offering will also incorporate fleet management, AV mission control, and teleoperation infrastructure, the company said.
