Summer holidays 2026 announced for colleges, universities

PESHAWAR – The Higher and Secondary Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced summer vacations 2026 for all public and private colleges and universities across the province amid rising temperatures. According to the official notification, educational institutions in the summer zone will observe holidays from June 15 to August 31, while institutions in the winter zone will have a one-month break from July 1 to July 31. The announcement applies to all public and private universities, colleges, and higher education institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The notification further stated that four-year BS programmes will continue in accordance with the academic calendar of the respective universities and colleges. All examinations, including practical exams, will be held as per the previously scheduled timetable. The department clarified that academic activities will resume after the completion of the summer holidays as per the official schedule.
