Traffic arrangements for central procession inspected

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Kainat Azhar Khan here on Thursday morning visited the route of the 9th Muharram’s central procession in Sector G-6 to review traffic arrangements and operational preparedness. An Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) official told that the CTO inspect-ed traffic management measures along the procession route and issued directions necessary to officers deployed on duty to ensure smooth traffic flow and facili-tate mourners. The official said more than 350 ITP personnel had been deployed to regulate traffic and im-plement the traffic man-agement plan during the central Muharram procession. Kainat directed field officers to remain vigilant, perform their duties with professionalism and ensure uninterrupted traffic management in and around the procession route. The official request-ed citizens participating in the procession to park their vehicles and motorcycles only in designated parking areas and cooperate with traffic police personnel.
