Chinese Consul General in Lahore, Sun Yan, said that Pakistan and China relations are built on mutual trust, respect, and shared development ambitions. He made these remarks during a special ceremony to celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Sun Yan stated that the friendship between the two countries has continued to deepen over the past seven decades and has gained even greater strategic significance amid rapidly shifting global dynamics. He praised the LCCI for its efforts in strengthening trade relations, improving the investment environment, and acting as a vital link between the business communities of both nations. He added that the organisation has also helped improve the business climate by communicating policy concerns to authorities and encouraging investor-friendly conditions for Chinese businesses operating in Punjab. He particularly appreciated the chamber’s initiative to introduce Chinese language training programs, describing it as a valuable effort to reduce communication barriers and enhance cultural understanding between both sides. Referring to the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, Sun Yan said the project has attracted major investment, generated hundreds of thousands of jobs, and played a crucial role in advancing Pakistan’s energy sector and infrastructure development. Speaking at the event, LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol described China as Pakistan’s largest economic partner and a reliable friend, noting that cooperation between the two countries extends beyond trade into sectors including defence, infrastructure, energy, agriculture, education, science, and technology. Saigol said China’s contribution to Pakistan’s development, partic
