CHINIOT – The ongoing dispute betweem PML-N MPA Saqib Khan Chadhar and the family of actress Momina Iqbal escalated, and now the lawmaker accused the actress’s sister, Rimsha Iqbal, of allegedly misappropriating Rs8 million entrusted to her for visa-related purposes. According to a formal application submitted at Bhawana Police Station in Chiniot, Saqib Chadhar alleged that Rimsha Iqbal sought financial assistance while preparing documents for an Australian visa application and required a strong bank statement to support her case. He mentioned transferring and handing over total of Rs8 million to Rimsha Iqbal as entrusted amount. The complaint stated that Rs3.9 million was transferred from his United Bank Limited (UBL) account to Rimsha Iqbal’s Bank Alfalah account, while an additional Rs4.1 million was allegedly provided in cash on different occasions in the presence of witnesses. Chadhar accused Rimsha Iqbal of committing a breach of trust by allegedly failing to return the entrusted funds, prompting him to seek legal action through the police. The controversy drawn public attention due to its connection with actress Momina Iqbal, as the dispute between the legislator and the actress’s family has now entered the legal arena. Police officials confirmed receiving the complaint and said the application has been placed on record for further proceedings. Authorities have initiated an inquiry into the allegations and have begun examining the transaction history and records of the bank accounts mentioned in the complaint. Officials said the investigation is underway and that legal action, if any, will be determined after the verification of evidence and completion of the inquiry.
