ISLAMABAD – The federal government has approved a new motorway connecting Mansehra and Chilas, which will link directly with China. Abdul Aleem Khan said the motorway will link Western China to Karachi and Gwadar ports, providing a fast, efficient land route to the Arabian Sea and supporting sustainable development at Gwadar while boosting regional trade. The plan also includes an initial four-lane motorway, expandable to six lanes, with rest areas every 25–30 kilometers and trucking terminals on both sides for freight transport.
