ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has raised serious financial concerns regarding the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) over the reconciliation and recovery of grants issued between the fiscal years 2022-23 and 2024-25. In an official letter dated May 3, 2026, PSB Assistant Director Farman Khan addressed the Secretary General of PTF, citing audit findings that revealed the federation failed to submit adjustment accounts and supporting documents—including receipts, invoices, and vouchers—within the required 30-day period. The PSB noted that this constitutes a breach of the SFURP 2025 regulations and the PSB Constitution 2022, highlighting issues such as non-submission of audited accounts and potential misuse or unauthorized diversion of government funds. The total outstanding amount in question is Rs41,252,072. According to the letter, the PSB will recover this sum by adjusting it against the federation’s grant allocation for the fiscal year 2025-26. No new grants will be disbursed until the pending liability is fully settled. The board has instructed the Pakistan Tennis Federation to adhere strictly to SFURP 2025 guidelines for all future grants, ensure that accounts carry at least two authorized signatories, and publish audited financial statements as required. The PSB has also warned that failure to comply may result in the suspension of future grants or further disciplinary action.
