US Vice President JD Vance has named Field Marshal Asim Munir as one of two very important figures from Pakistan and India in his life, while praising his role and leadership. Speaking at first session of the US-Iran talks in Switzerland, Vance said he often jokes that he has “two very important people” in his life — one from India and one from Pakistan. Field Marshal Asim Munir, who has played an active role in the US-Iran mediation process, expressed gratitude following the successful conclusion of the first round of talks in Switzerland. Speaking in Bürgenstock, Switzerland, to a news channel, CDF Munir welcomed the progress made during the negotiations and thanked Allah for the outcome. He described the agreement between the United States and Iran on a roadmap to reach a final deal within 60 days as a success for the mediating countries, saying Pakistan had achieved a major success through the grace of Allah.
