Over 24,000 candidates take ECAT-2026 Phase-II at UET

LAHORE – The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has successfully conducted the second phase of the Combined Entrance Test (ECAT-2026) for Undergraduate Fall Admissions 2026. The computer-based test was held from June 17 to June 21, 2026, in multiple sessions simultaneously at UET Lahore, its constituent campuses, and partner institutions across Punjab. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, TI, accompanied by faculty members, visited various examination centres to review the arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the test. According to a spokesperson for UET Lahore, a total of 24,288 candidates appeared in ECAT-2026 (Phase-II). Each test session had a duration of 100 minutes, and to facilitate candidates, the examination was conducted without negative marking. To ensure maximum accessibility, the test was organized at 10 centres, including UET Lahore Main Campus, UET Faisalabad Campus, UET Narowal Campus, Rachna College of Engineering and Technology Gujranwala, Khwaja Fareed University Rahim Yar Khan, UET Taxila, University of Gujrat, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, and NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology Multan. The results of ECAT-2026 (Phase-II) will be announced on June 23, 2026, after which the online admission application process will commence. Applicants will be allowed to make necessary amendments to their already submitted applications from July 12 to July 14, 2026, upon payment of a processing fee of Rs. 1,500. The last date for submission of online admission applications is July 15, 2026.
